Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms explain what AddressClerk does, what it costs, and what we can and cannot promise.
1. Who we are
AddressClerk is a trading name of Arnold Kocsis, a sole trader. Our business address is 8 Rattley Road, Banbury, OX16 9GH, United Kingdom. You can reach us at info@addressclerk.com or through our contact page.
These terms form a contract between you and Arnold Kocsis trading as AddressClerk. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Arnold Kocsis trading as AddressClerk.
2. What the service is
When you buy a service from us, we will:
- review the address details and location information you provide;
- determine what is missing or incorrect on Google Maps;
- prepare a correction and submit it through Google’s own correction process;
- monitor the case and make further reasonable attempts where a correction is not accepted;
- keep you updated by email as the status of the case changes.
3. What the service is not
AddressClerk is an independent service and is not affiliated with Google. Google ultimately controls whether and when map corrections are accepted.
We do not control Google’s review process, its criteria, or its timescales. We cannot guarantee that any correction will be accepted, and we do not promise a fixed turnaround. Any statement to the contrary, from anyone, is not something we make.
At present the service covers Google Maps only. We do not currently carry out operational correction work on Apple Maps, Royal Mail records, Waze, or delivery platforms, and buying a service from us does not change your address on those systems.
4. Price and payment
The service is a one-off fee. It is not a subscription, and there is nothing to cancel or renew.
- Standard - £14.99. For most new-build homes where the road already exists and the address or pin needs adding or correcting.
- Complex - £19.99. For cases where the road is missing, the address has been rejected before, or more than one correction is likely to be needed.
We classify your case and tell you which price applies before you pay. Prices include VAT where VAT is applicable. The applicable price is the one shown to you at the point of payment.
One payment. No repeat fees. We’ll continue making reasonable correction attempts until your legitimate address is recognised, provided Google continues to offer a correction process and you provide any evidence we reasonably need.
Your order is an offer to buy the service. A contract is formed when we accept the order and send you confirmation by email. If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and refund any payment already taken.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree that:
- the address details you provide are truthful and relate to a genuine property;
- you are the owner, occupier, or otherwise legitimately connected to that property;
- the location you identify is the actual location of the property;
- you will provide any additional evidence we reasonably need to progress the correction;
- you will not ask us to submit information you know or suspect to be false.
We may decline or discontinue a case, and will refund it, where we reasonably believe the information provided is inaccurate or the request is not legitimate.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Your statutory rights are set out in full on our refunds and cancellation page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen or, when the contract is made, both you and we know it might happen.
Provided we have performed the service with reasonable care and skill, we are not responsible for Google’s decision to accept, delay or reject a correction, or for the operation or availability of Google’s correction process. We are also not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party map, delivery or navigation services that we do not control.
The service is supplied for domestic and private use. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, your statutory rights as a consumer, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Privacy
We handle your address, location and contact details as described in our privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your case is the version in force on the date you paid. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
10. Governing law
These terms and the contract between us are governed by English law. You keep any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live: England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland.
11. Contact
